Translation, revision, editing and proof-reading
In 2023, I translated and proof-read more than 480,000 words and completed dozens of pages of DTP.
I have worked on behalf of government ministries and agencies, non-governmental organisations, international bodies, language service providers and other companies. The formats include manuals, reports, action plans, e-learning materials, publicity campaigns, contracts and website content. I have a particular interest in international development, child protection and issues relating to Africa.
I use CAT (computer aided translation) tools in order to save time on repetition, which means I can pass on cost savings to you. I can save you further time by being more adaptive and responsive to your needs than many corporate language service providers, who often require your source documents to conform to their templates and lead-times. If you already have tmx or xliff files, I can incorporate them into my workflow.

Project example
Annual Reports every year 2015-2020, World Vision Senegal
I began working with World Vision International while based in Senegal, West Africa in 2015. Since then I have translated more than a million words for departments and country offices all over the world. The subject matter all relates to child protection, which I find extremely motivating and uplifting. Their staff bring their Christian values to the workplace, making them a pleasure to deal with.
