Urban Ministry Mission

I have just completed a 35,000 word translation and localisation in Indesign called Urban Ministry Mission.

It was about how cities environments can be adapted, through the empowerment of local residents and dwellers, in order to improve the safety and protection of children.

The original document had been made in Word rather than Indesign, so it contained many infographics and diagrams with embedded text. It was very satisfying to take these into Photoshop and wipe out the source language text, reconstructing as closely as possible the image underneath. Then I was able to apply the target language text on top in order to mask imperfections in the image. The result was very convincing.
